Well at SLE apparently November 1896 was wetter with an insane 16.99" of rain. And it also appears to have had a massive arctic blast at the end of the month.

I would love this but it's been too warm to snow at least in my corner and I think I'd be shocked if it verified. But still fun to see.

We’ve picked up more rain in the last 36 hours than the entire month of November 2019. 4.83” so far this month and 14.32” in the last 60 days.
This November is a lock for 3 wetter than normal months in a row. Going to be one of the wetter falls in awhile. Will probably be at around 7” of rain MTD by the time Tuesday rolls around.

The next 4 days on the Euro is the wettest I've ever seen it forecast for here. Has me at 5" in 96 hours and Sunday/Monday both have an opportunity to be the wettest days I've recorded in my 13 years of records. Of course the focus of the precipitation will probably continue to waver around so I wouldn't be surprised if we don't end up getting close to that.

12Z ECMWF is much wetter over the weekend... so that is good news.   Wouldn't want a break.

It also still shows a band of c-zone snow up north on Tuesday morning...

12z Euro is still showing an intense CZ Monday night with some snow around Everett.

Tough to tell from this map, but it actually spits out 9" of snow around Marysville in the middle of that band. That's after 5" of rain here in the next 3 days before that. Would be wild but at this point is still obviously not likely.

Maybe the gfs isn’t so crazy with those high totals early next week after all…gfs is still wetter here though. Does look like we get a break later next week though on the euro but the break on the gfs appears shorter lived.

The Kuchera map shows almost nothing. Looks to me like a situation where this map "sees" 34 degree mixed precip and spits out a 10:1 map based on that all being sticking snow.

Then again, we know how much of a wildcard strong CZ's can be.

Very interesting since the surface has warmed significantly since then.

Intraseasonal slowing of the trades associated with a CCKW-type feature. That reverses soon.

There’s a lot that goes into ENSO. Usually best to try and ignore the short term chaos/wiggles.

If anyone has been following Dr. Roundy’s filtered tropical forcing analogs..thus far the verification has been fantastic.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t factoring this in for December.

2.6'' here since the event started. We could make it to 3'' by the time it's all said and done. The Portland metro area ended up being in a fortuitous location. No complaints here.

Looks like Tim and a lot of you are going to get hammered in a couple of days. We will get the ending slops of that event.

Is that a ridge setting up slightly offshore? Could it mean we finally dry out for longer than 12 hours?

Gotta be too good to be true. Not trusting the maps, even the trusty EPS. It will find a way to continue to rain for eternity.

Totally agree.
