Finished with 2" here. Wouldn't be surprised if the airport got a bit more.

If NW flow features this all winter, I'd be fine wit it

Up to 1.6" with that last band. I'm in the eye now, let's get to 2.

"Build the Base"...hopefully it won't get nuked by the next bigger system next week Tue/Wed that's tracking north of the border.  I gotta say, I do like what I'm seeing in terms of the ever expanding snow pack across southern Canada.

BTW, you may get a quick hitting "overrunning event" late tonight as the warm front pushes in from the west.  Add a couple more inches??

This snowpack is gonna get nuked Tuesday when I'm well into the 40s.

First snowflakes falling thus far this season. Current obs. are: light snow w a temp of 33F. Its way BN tempwise. Looks beautiful outside looking at the snow fall. I'd call this the appetizer b4 the real snows kick in later on.

Enjoy it and soak it all in.  More to come I’m sure of it.  This might be one of those seasons where we can “share in the wealth” by these clippers and southern stream systems.

Congrats on breaking the ice and getting that first snowfall of the season.  Hopefully the first of many!

Stayed mostly rain here and the WWA was canceled early.  Not surprising as thermals behind the bigger storm weren't very cold, in fact a little warmer.  Oh well on to the next one, whenever it comes.  Some places did get hit as mentioned above in some of the more heavier bursts that turned to snow.

Oddly, here in the "hot corner" of The Mitt, it was the opposite. Snow was non-stop from around 9 am til about 2 or 3 pm, then a little misty mix thru the evening hours. KDTW recorded 0.7" and I'd say it was closer to 1" at my place. Had to go out to the store just before dark and decided to go a short ways west (away from the UHI) and they still had what looked like 1-2" covering anything elevated and the grass. It was a very wintry scene, if only for an evening.

nice, that's what it was Friday night here turned white for about 8 hours, then melted.    Looks like we were too close to the lake and the LP on the clipper and was mostly drizzle and a mix Sunday.
