Our laurels are destroyed.   They are bent to the ground.   My wife has been telling me to shave them way down for about a year and now it will be much easier!

We haven't had quite as much snow as you, though we may pop over 30" on the season today, not sure how much it's actually snowing at home right now, but the snow from the event the 24-27th just annihilated a lot of our trees and shrubs. Way more damage than we saw in February 2019, I think that was because the snow in February 2019 was very consistent, but there was a lot of melting/refreezing, the trees were able to shed the snow after pretty much every snow, this time it just kept piling up.

Looks like some folks might have lost power in Klamath Falls earlier. Haven't spoken to anyone since before my birthday over there. KLMT picking up anything around 65mph could translate to localized 70-75 in spots. NWS was expecting up to 55 over there in advisory areas. I'd say it overperformed on the wind side of things.

Radar echoes back building and filling in over NW Oregon now, SLE is already at like 1.91" of rain on the day, so a good bet they go over the 2" mark here pretty soon.

I couldn't believe the station near me gusted to 63 mph last night and we only lost power for about 5 minutes. That's an exposed station, but the winds were rocking and rolling last night. Our temp spiked into the mid-40s around 4-5am too, but then crashed hard. Back down to freezing now.

Check this out from Joseph, Oregon this morning. At 12:15am they had calm winds and were at 9F, 20 miles later south winds were gusting to 45 and the temp had rocketed into the upper 30s!

The only times downtown would lose power was during a good thunderstorm, at least when I lived there in the city.

Almost lost it one time when I had a windstorm in Feb 2015 tho. The snow and cold, no matter how deep it was, never knocked it out.

Tim does not share the rest of our intense passion and addiction for snow. He would gladly see the rest of us score while he had a partly sunny 50 degree day.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

There were 10 days I didn't get back up to and over freezing. Dec 2013 averaged slightly colder than 1972 where I lived even though one or two of the lows was warmer by a degree or two (bottomed -22 in 1972).

Average low of 9 degrees.

It gets that high on Mt Si Road?

Looks about the same as my deck.  😁
