You have an amazing place. And moving is such a drag.

We are. I'll turn 38 this year, having my 5th kid. What the heck.

Oh man you are still a youngin! I’m 45 but with only 2 kids so that probably offsets the age difference haha!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Very rare. Even as far back as the decadent 1880s, winters here featured a propensity for taking a month (sometimes two) off around our exciting events. And the climate has wormed bigly since so do the math.

If you want frequent dynamic fronts and snows in the winter, move in with hawkstwelve.

We are in the middle of a cold inversion and we just had the 06Z GFS show epic cold and snow.     You are misreading Jim.  😀

Yeah...I'm far from done with this season.  I think the chances are good for another round of winter.

I did bring up the Dakota’s to my wife…She just stared at me blankly and then started talking about Texas again.

Listen to your wife, mossy.

Happy wife, happy life.

Texas is nasty.

Black Hills area of South Dakota is great, I would move there. Eastern SD is alright, but not super appealing to me personally. But who am I kidding. I'll never move.

What is it that’s keeping you there?

DAY FOUR FOG: Heavy fog again all day, but in some areas not as thick.  The air quality improved around Portland, Oregon metro which yesterday had the worst air quality in the US.  Today it went back to healthy levels.  In the Puget Sound, it was mostly moderate according to federal standards.  Overall, another THICC day.

33F currently.  The high was 35F.

The fog was still fairly thick in downtown Edmonds, but began to clear out just before sunset. Ended up being some pretty skies during the best part of the evening.

For the first time in the last several days, fog hasn't formed immediately at sunset. Crystal clear skies and 34 degrees. If the temp drops a couple of degrees before the fog forms, this could be the frostiest night of the year. I hate inversions, but a super frosty morning will be at least somewhat interesting.

Pretty impressive inversion for here. Have been in fog since Saturday morning nonstop and we have not cracked 40. It was neat for a couple of days but now I’m jealous of those in the 50s with sun. We are not an area particularly prone to stagnant inversions due to the east wind so this is unusual.

I very much like it here. When traveling elsewhere I always find myself missing this coast-- at this point though, I'd hopefully want to live somewhere in this region a bit more exciting. Maybe the Gorge, or central Oregon? Or I'd say screw exciting weather and find a place in SoCal haha

I know I'll get some downvotes, but I don't mind summer torching at all, at least until it gets ridiculous (100+). I love to go boating, swimming in rivers, jumping off small cliffs, etc and warm water temps are hard to come by. I'm not exactly young either, unfortunately, but I still love it. I just wish we could get a drenching rain every once in a while to keep the fire danger down.
