Wow all the way down to 26 with some freezing fog in Corvallis this morning sounds like a good setup for a lot of frost @Omegaraptor

27 at home. Likely one of the last freezes of the season. Maybe a couple here and there in February.  Don’t see much happening from here on out. Foothill snow at best.

GFS shows a cool, not cold pattern throughout.

Not bad if you like days in the 40s with the occasional hard freeze. 

No big warmups in sight at least.

One thing about this winter so far up here atleast is we scored one really good event and we haven’t torched nearly as bad as some recent winters. January is probably going to be right about average after a -2.1 December. I’d bet February will be below average-average too.

It’s been a similar story down here just not to the degree of up north. Consistently on the coolish side at least by 1991-2020 standards which like it or not is a reflection of our climo these days

Sunny here and can't see fog down in the valley today unlike yesterday.

Watching the satellite loop its interesting how the low clouds and fog slosh around like water in a bathtub responding to small changes in the air flow over the Puget Sound region.

Pretty cool picture on the North Bend facebook page taken from Rattlesnake Ledge late yesterday afternoon which shows the fog that I could see down in the valley.   North Bend was under that fog bank at the base of Mt Si.    I went down there around 4 p.m. yesterday and it went from clear to dark and murky in about 50 feet just before I reached the bottom of the hill.

Overall that storm isn’t looking nearly as impactful as it could have been.

There was a lot of frost this morning. Saw this accident on the way in along Silver Falls Hwy, someone later posted this pic on the community FB page. Heard the guy was OK.

Looks like we got down to 30F for our 14th freeze. Currently 37F and starting to break out of the inversion a bit with the sun shining through at times.

Fall seems to be coolest running time of year lately. I was averaging Sep/Oct before I left KF, it ran normal using 1981-2010 numbers up thru mid-November. 

We could fix those stupid dry Octobers though.

28F this morning as the fog finally cleared.  Sunny and 36 now with the ground mostly still frozen solid.  So nice to see the fog finally kicked out of here.

Hell, down here it’s barely even conversational. Flurries and a few puffs of wind.

Still more impressive in Boston than anything I’ve seen since 2016. I’d take 10-20” w/ 60mph winds and run.

Somehow that’s still not good enough for the SNE weenies. Spoiled brats.

Looks like it’s mostly burned off on the kitsap peninsula but near the sound and east it’s holding on still. Might be a gloomy sub 40 day again but atleast it was sunny yesterday.
