Was lovely in Skykomish earlier. Was sunny when I left Stanwood at 9am and got on I-5, hit the fog in Arlington, it looked like it snowed the frost was so heavy in the trees in Marysville, fog continued until getting just east of Monroe where it went from 31 degrees to 51 as I went east. Then cooled again dramatically about 2 miles from Skykomish, and at Skykomish it was 35 degrees and sunny. That is the place to move to without a doubt in western Wa!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Yep, doing just fine here!

67" on the season so far, 12+ inches on the ground since mid December with a very favorable upcoming pattern. Nothing to complain about here!

Your snow is too persistent!    I really enjoy bare ground and green grass in between snow events during the winter.   👍

Edit:  I see I was beat to the punch. 😆

Problem is she’s a data analyst with a degree in geology. Not a chance I can pull that off.

Then you’d love it here. Can snow a foot+ and still sublimate to nothing in 3 days even with subfreezing temperatures the whole time. 😂

Yeah…green grass or any sort of growth for that matter doesn’t exist here November-mid April.

But if you like lots of white, awesome in town XC ski trails and gorgeous sunrises/sunsets this is the place to be all winter long! Just gotta embrace it!😎

The bare trees on Memorial Day and snow in June would also bother me.  ;)

It's technically possible in the PNW. I'd wager that 30" individual snowfalls in Seattle are a roughly 1-200 to 1-500 year event. Eugene got really close in Feb 2019.

Even though I'm elevated and quite far east this pattern still really sucks here. Just basically a lot of days with non-weather. Very very boring. It's been cloudy most of the time but I would have preferred blue dome skies over this even.

Those things never happen there.....do they?

Pretty much every year.    Their spring green up is about 2 months behind us... and then it always seems to snow in May and June.    Its a gardening nightmare!   My wife would not last very long there.    😀
