45/31 currently 32*.  Not a bad day despite the heavy fog early on. Got a nice shot as the fog was lifting

Interesting.  A freezing east wind has made it all the way down to the Fire Training Academy just east of North Bend now.  The cold along the east slopes of the Cascades is very deep now and is seeping westward.

Euro projecting 80-90mph gusts with 30” of snow where I’ll be.

Never been this excited for a wx event in my life. Praying they don’t cancel on me.

Already down to 29 tonight, and McChord sitting at 25.  Nice to see some below normal temps in January no matter how we are getting them.

GEM and GFS keep persistent high heights off the west through day 10 while the ECMWF deamplifies the pattern.  Certainly rooting for the GFS/ GEM.

I can’t sit still or think straight.

As modeled this is literally a snow hurricane. With frequent lightning and thunder in the deform band.

50/50 chance I say f** it and drive up there. Am honestly that close to pulling the trigger.

I love snow to but I also know this is a Miller B and one rule with Bs are someone will get screwed. Also this is a La nina so because of that it makes it a bit easyer knowing Ninas tend to be difficult for our classics but not impossable.I just wonder doing the Ice age cycles did we have more Miller Bs or As storms 🤔

All outcomes suck. The “trough” early next week is pretty much nothing at this point. And dry as a bone.

The goofus is worthless.

Check out this embarrassing cave to Dr. Euro. Some places went from 0.2” to 20”, all < 3 days out. Just a complete joke.

too windy

Apparently the ocean facing balconies have plexiglass barriers to keep the wind in check. Must be a persistent issue.

I got a room facing the other way just in case. I want snow and ice, not a pressure washer pointed at my face.

I am sure it happens with every Nor'easter in that location.

Shouldn't you be on the road by now?     Do you have a reservation for Saturday night too?    Might be tough to get out of there until Sunday.

I’ve already started the complaining. This is turning into worse than a worst-case scenario for this time of year. How many heat and dry records are we going to break before we break any on the opposite end of the spectrum?

Windy and 35 here... and very dry.      Checking out traffic cams.... it looks like there is frost in Bellevue and Issaquah so it must not be windy to the west.

SEA just dropped to freezing at 6 a.m... marking the 6th time this month that it has recorded a low temp of 32 or lower.    You would think this is the dead of winter or something.

SEA got down to 29 last hour and has fog now... so that has to be freezing fog there.
