Bright and sunny with 54° when I left Mercer Island. Now over in Snoqualmie - the valley is really socked in with low clouds and fog.

I know, if you're in Crater Lake their record December was during a +2.6-2.8 enso 🤣

Some of them just act entirely out of character.

December 1982 was snowier than average. Both 1986-87 and 1987-1988 held snowcover from December through January. December 2015 was snowier than average. February to March 2019 was colder and snowier than average. Enso is a bit overrated in my humble opinion.

It turned a little more cloudy this afternoon... but its not really socked in around NB.    Visibility is good and there is a clear view of the Cascades.

Right downtown Snoqualmie it is foggy, but up on the ridge it's pretty clear. About 49°.

Yeah... just noticed that I can see some fog down lower in the valley.

It's amazing how quickly Mt. Si loses snow.

Except for the peak... snow never lasts more than 2 or 3 days.    Probably because its very steep, very exposed, and we see the south facing side.

Listening to KIRO radio and their talking about the lack of WADOT snow plow drivers because 170 were let go due to getting vaccinated right before we got our snowstorms. Lot of complaints from residents in places that got snowed in for so long. Something has to be figured out before the next snowstorm.

Millions and millions of dollars were lost because I-90 was closed down for so long.

It's hard to overstate how horribly boring the first 2/3 of the 2018-19 Winter was. I don't even remember any model teases getting within ten days till the hammer dropped in February and we all got snowed in.

All this talk of February 2019 will probably cement the fact this February will be absolutely nothing like it.

I don’t think we see anything close to February 2019. Maybe something like February 2018.

I gave you the wiener until I remembered how epic February 2018 was. I was thinking a different year for some reason. Yeah I will take 18 or 19!

alright last 2019 post sorry folks. Everybody was just on point that month. Everyone seems much calmer today. Maybe its because most of us have scored already this winter. But GD mf'ers were ruthless in late January i cant believe @iFreddidnt shut the whole thing down then and there

Many different results from January 13th over the past several years. From snow, to needing to put on shorts, to the fake cold (or was it real cold can’t remember) that froze lake Goodwin!

It was decent here. No sub freezing highs but we did get 3 inches of snow over 5 days. Most people only got 1-3” but I’d definitely take it.

It was pop up shower that disappeared just as fast per the radar.   But yeah... it can rain out here even when you don't expect it or know anything is going on.   😀

Now all is quiet now. It was raining pretty hard coming into downtown from the east.

Now I understand why you get 60"+ of moisture annually.

I know right! If this keeps up too long the daffodils will start popping up. I remember they did right before we got all the snow in February of 2019.

Ironically, our coldest temps ever recorded (and some of our greatest blizzards) occurred during La Niña winters.

ENSO has less grip strength out here. ;)
