Looks like the inversion is really settling into NW OR now.  Hillsboro only dropped to 39 this morning and they are currently at 29.

I think it's strengthening. East wind is quite breezy here near west Gresham.

At least it's not raining. Many of us will see the sun today, some will not, but remember the sun is always shining above the low clouds/fog/inversion. It could be worse. Go Chiefs! Looks like we got down to 35F or so then leveled off. Finally down to 34F. Airport got down to freezing before midnight so again, not reflective of here and no freeze...

Definitely been an interesting inversion set up the last couple days…95% of the time it’s colder west of Tacoma…but the last 2 days we’ve been colder than gig harbor.

On my snow notes I see that there were 2 pretty decent snowfall events less than a week apart in January 2012. 1/23 was the start of another similar one to the 18th. But I'm trying to figure which day it was that started as rain in the morning (AR?), then turned to snow middle of the day. Ones like that earn more points if you ask me.

I don't remember the last time this area had an AR going into an Arctic event. Then again, it's been so long since I've experienced an Arctic event I can't really remember.
