Cloud
Wow... this is a crazy 6z run. We go back into the icebox heading into day 10 but the upper levels are warm, so a serious inversion? Back to back outlier op runs? Unfortunately, it appears people are all modeled out as well... any other times, this run would get the night shift popping with what it's showing for Sunday night and the mid-week again for Seattle.

Cloud
So the potential for the second week or possibly 3rd week of January looks fantastic. Base off of various ensemble runs and the GFS op runs continues to show the block retrograde back to GoA in the LR, this looks to set the table for arctic air to move back to us after the fake cold. Can't really ask for anything better if you're a cold fan. An exciting January on tap.

As far as I can tell looking at their current station and the defunct station that went 1948-1965, it is tied with 12/23/1983 as the 2nd coldest temp in the 1948-present period of record, and within reach of the -20 from January 1950. You have to remember that area is very windy and they almost never decouple, which is why their record lows are so mild when compared to Baker City. 1 Quote Snowfall Precip 2022-23: 95.0" 2022-23: 17.39" 2021-22: 52.6" 2021-22: 91.46" 2020-21: 12.0" 2020-21: 71.59" 2019-20: 23.5" 2019-20: 58.54" 2018-19: 63.5" 2018-19: 66.33" 2017-18: 30.3" 2017-18: 59.83" 2016-17: 49.2" 2016-17: 97.58" 2015-16: 11.75" 2015-16: 68.67" 2014-15: 3.5" 2013-14: 11.75" 2013-14: 62.30 2012-13: 16.75" 2012-13: 78.45 2011-12: 98.5" 2011-12: 92.67" It's always sunny at Winters Hill! Typically metal. Snow and ice tend to naturally slide off before they build up to ridiculous levels. Biggest problem with metal on the West Side is that falling branches tend to poke holes in it. 4 Quote It's called clown range for a reason.
