mtep
Man... I think this winter/wet season is going to feel like an especially long one by the time spring rolls around. I keep forgetting its not February given the way the last few winters have gone. I also just realized that the ARs/flooding are almost two months in the rearview at this point. Not trying to ween though, this event has been sick even though I missed the first half of it. I hope we get even more. But I also hope the rain chills the f*** out until spring.
Geos
Pretty much everywhere has black ice expect downtown Bellevue and here on Mercer Island. Saw some spin outs after my last post. Sitting at 36 here. Saw a rain snow mix again as I was leaving Redmond about an hour ago. MossMan
Well a wet deck and 34.5 degrees. I must be the new swamp! Everleigh
36.5* and lots of rain! I think there could be a bit of a mix at times, but I am not sure. Kids schools are 2 hours late again today, which was called last night. There is still a layer of icy snow hail on my back deck. Not as much as when I went to bed, but the rain hasn't washed it all away yet.

Schools closed here too. No idea why. Could have been 2 hours late. If we continue to have challenging weather for the next couple months then things will change pretty quickly. They will be forced to deal with it and stay open. Can't keep closing schools for a rain/snow mix or frost or whatever other excuse they come up with. They don't do that in eastern WA. Or the rest of the northern US for that matter. 1 Quote **REPORTED CONDITIONS AND ANOMALIES ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING ON A REGIONAL LEVEL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED**

Back when I was young (long time ago) we were in the Tahoma School District. The drivers would chain up the buses and have at it. Kids would have to walk out of their neighborhoods to the main roads to catch the bus. Sometimes that would be a long walk but we didn't think twice about it. Different times back then. LowerGarfield
I took a few days off measuring snow. With the depth we have and the winds that were in the forecast a few days I took it inside. We're due to have a few inches tonight and also some going into Thursday am. I also noticed that NWS Spokane added a new weather station near Clarkston that I haven't seen before. Good for that lower half of my zone area. SilverFallsAndrew
34 and raining here this morning, as modeled and expected the warmer air aloft is slowly working north. This round is over, and it will be at earliest the end of the month before we see more snow, which is fine. Kind of humorous given the discussion about school here, that our local school was closed today, and it is just raining.
