Back up to 35. Hopefully the incoming heavy precip can drive snow levels down at least a bit

The pass looks like the arctic. About the most snow on trees I've saw .

What was it doing in North Bend when you went through?

I love the cities it chooses to highlight.

Like the very large metropolis of Saanich in big font... and you can't forget the Central Saanich district.

And of course Picnic Point - North Lynnwood.   😀

I have seen some wet snow but only in areas 400 ft or so and above. North Kirkland, Kenmore and Woodinville - east of downtown.

To be fair to the map, Saanich is probably seeing some of the heaviest snow of most places this evening. Over 3" and counting, currently dumping out there.

Holding at about 24 and the snow is coming down pretty good IMBY.  This just doesn't get old!

Earlier tonight the neighborhood street was icy enough from the snow last night for me to pull a brodie into my parking space even with snow tires, stability control, ABS, etc.  Good times.  Almost 50 years old but every once in a while I gotta be a teenager again 😁  This weekend I gotta haul my computer out and plug into my car's ECU and disable that stability control nonsense.

So its bigger than Victoria?    That is crazy.    No one talks about visiting Saanich... I am not sure I have even heard the name spoken.    But everyone talks about Victoria.     Regardless... we don't need Saanich and Central Saanich as the two most important landmarks on the radar map in southern VI.   😀

And San Jose is bigger (in both population and land area) than San Francisco, but tourists generally don’t talk about visiting San Jose.

It's called clown range for a reason.

That's because there is nothing to do in San Jose.    But they do have a professional hockey team.   And a major airport.    And all of the largest tech companies in the world.  😀

We should be thinking of it as the Saanich metro area with a nice suburb of Victoria with lots of cool sights!

It’s the biggest municipality in Greater Victoria.  But I agree, it’s really all just Victoria.  YYJ Victoria is in Saanich.

'13 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI with a millennial anti-theft device.  Its Front Wheel Drive, lots of low end torque, and thankfully it has a proper handbrake otherwise I wouldn't be able to have any fun at all!

Ok, that's fair, my snow greed got the better of me.

I'm so grateful we got some snow in the Willamette Valley. Otherwise this would have been incredibly depressing.

Instead, it's the most significant regionwide event in quite some time that encompassed almost all of Washington and Oregon at some point with all kinds of different dynamics in play.

Interesting... learning new things tonight.

Still can't justify Picnic Point - North Lynnwood though... and exclude Lynnwood itself.   😀
