Been watching the Leavenworth cams all night. I don't think I remember a snowstorm hitting them this hard.

All the schools here are closed.  That never in happens, unless there is a major freezing rain event.  Someone claims it is only the 2nd snow cancellation in 26 years

Still puking snow.  Will measure soon.

Looking forward to your observations. Visibility downtown is like 1/4 mile due to how heavy the snowfall is. Pretty incredible.

I've got friends in Wenatchee that I'll need to check in with to see how much they have.

EAT looks pretty gnarly this morning.

It looks like we scored big time. School is on remote learning today. It's supposed to warm up and transition to rain so I'm eager to go outside and measure but I'm also enjoying the quiet and calm while curled up under a blanket.

Good morning.  We didn't end up with any sticking snow overnight.  Currently 46 and heavy rain.  That's okay.  This was a memorable event.  On top of that I was off work the entire time and the kids were home for the holiday.  It was really special this year.  My daughter will try to head back to Bellingham around noon.  Hopefully the roads will be decent by then.

So awesome! Stevens, Snoqualmie, and Blewett passes are all closed. I would have been stuck if I was heading home this Thursday instead of last Thursday. The drive last Thursday was no picnic.

With that cam you can rewind it 12 hours and see how much had piled up since then.  The Chamber has 3 other streaming cams that you can also rewind.

Very cool... never noticed the rewind feature.

4 inches of snow since 8pm. I didn't check my board during the day yesterday but didn't start to snow again until 8pm.

Methow Trails reported 17 inches of new overnight as of 5:45 this morning.  Not sure where they measure, but said it was valley wide, So Twisp, Winthrop, Mazama.  Mazama usually has the most.  Here's the webcam photo from Sheri's Sweet Shoppe in downtown Winthrop.

Couldn’t post last night since the satellite internet dish got covered and my dish beater pole broke. Anyway we ended up with 2.5” of snow. The roads are a slushy mess this morning, all areas schools are 2hrs late.

Leavenworth is getting buried lol

If I was in Leavenworth this morning I would've woken up earlier than I do for work, layered up as much as necessary, and gone for as long a walk as I had the energy for. Of course trudging through that much snow might sap that available energy pretty quickly, so I'd end up just sitting outside, taking it all in.

Up to 48 here. Was 40.3 when I came downstairs to start work at 6:30.

Looks like .30'' rain since midnight but nothing since around 5:00 or so.

Holy fooking shat. 2 feet of snow in a single night would be very impressive even for a Lake Effect superband or a sub-970mb nor’easter in New England.

Experienced that kind of snowfall once or twice in my life and it’s something I’ll never forget. Hope you’re taking it all in, because you’ll feed off the euphoric high for years. 😂

I picked up a few inches overnight. Hard to tell exactly how much because it had already drifted pretty good by this morning. Temp still hovering around 20-21. I feel we've held onto the cold air a bit longer than expected this morning. Hopefully that, and the fact that it looks like precipitation is done for the next little while, means we can avoid the freezing rain here. Or at least delay it.

Just saw on facebook that some areas in the county are already seeing freezing rain.

I am INCREDIBLY jealous of Brian, Snowmizer, and everyone else experiencing the absolute epicness east of the cascades. What an epic event over there. Looking forward to when they both Check in here. Don’t think I have seen that much snow on the Shari’s cam In Winthrop. And the Leavenworth live cam…I could sit and watch that all day. Meanwhile we now wait until the end of January at the earliest. Fingers crossed!
38 and drizzle here.

63F in Astoria is suspect. I'm 2 miles away and sitting at 51F.  Over 3" rain since midnight. A windstorm tonight will most likely bring many trees down.

Could be.  One site had 62.1 at "Astroria Regional" wherever that is.  Most sites I looked at were in the 50's.
