Ended up with a 40/36 day yesterday and close to an inch and a half of rainfall. Warming winds didn’t reach this area until overnight up to 52 now which is the warmest temp/first time above 50 in almost three weeks (since 12/18)

Happened at my house on the night of 2/11/2019.

Picked up about 3.5" of very wet snow (almost all of it fell at 32F or above) at home overnight after a 35.1/30.7F day yesterday. Precipitation stayed mostly snow until about 2 a.m. when it got above 33F and switched over to rain for the last hour that the rain was falling. Probably the equivalent of 0.5" of liquid, but I don't have a heated rain gauge so I might not get an accurate reading.

That 3.5" puts me at 17" of snow on the year which is now behind only 2008-09 and 2010-11 for the most snowfall I've recorded up here since 2000. Anacortes (which is more in the Fraser outflow than I am) was the the big winner in Skagit County as they picked up anywhere from 6-9" of new snow.

I had nearly 2 feet the morning of 12/29/96 from an overrunning event. Started about 8pm and went until about 8am. This 2.5” overrunning event last night was nothing compared to that!

About 8" of snow in Victoria this morning. Still 32.5F outside with lingering icicyles. It never went to rain, just snow to freezing drizzle. There's been a bit of compaction, but still a lot on the trees.

No Arctic boundary has made it this far south in what will be over 5 years now (longest stretch on record without one). We’ve had plenty of snow here but it hasn’t been Arctic. Lots of melting during the day and the roads didn’t stay covered.

EUG hit 22 that’s colder than Portland ever got and with more than double the snow.

We only got down to 26F and haven’t been colder than 23F since before Oct 2020. Didn’t have a sub freezing high while PDX had one this past Feb.

Those are some fooking icicles!! wow. The result of my roof heating cord it appears - its in a V shape along the edge of the roof so i assume where the points touch the edge you get these major stalacticicles. Better than an ice dam? No idea

Yeah, the sub-freezing high ship has probably sailed for this winter. Thought maybe we would get some nice fake cold the next week or two, but that looks to be breaking down more and more with each model run.

I honestly don’t think we will have another one until I move to Indy. I would think I could probly hope to have at least 1 sub freezing high in a given winter there.

Looks pretty windy Friday morning as that gradient tightens over the valley-- I'd imagine some areas could definitely gust 45-55 or so.

Yeah, 50-55mph seems like a good call for now. Could be the strongest south wind here since 4/7/2017.

Getting close to 30 now and still snowing hard.  Leavenworth is used to lots of snow, but the entire town has shut down over this
