Sunset was beautiful tonight.  I wasn't able to look out at the water this time, but I got some different views.  The sky was pink and purple and just as the sun came down, it became orange. Here are some photos.

Was also nice to still have the sunset in progress at 5 pm. I like cold and snow but I’m not sad that the days are rapidly getting longer.

Tomorrow will be 1 minute and 52 seconds longer than today!

Track kinda sucks for this area. Screaming easterly fetch.

However the GFS is notorious for underestimating CAD here (especially in-situ CAD). Good chance we end up with mostly frozen precip, but a relatively quick changeover to sleet/ZR.

I'm actually more interested in the following week some strong signs of something big potentialy in the last 10 days of the month Larry Cosgrove has been harping on January 20th through mid February for a long time now.would be quite a call if it varfied for him.

You don’t start really notice the days getting longer until early February.

Yeah it’s not really noticeable yet. But since there doesn’t seem to be wintry weather on the horizon I will take the promise of longer days as a consolation prize for the moment.

Seriously! Sioux Falls looks to get 6-10 inches on Friday. D*mn... Wish I could make it in time.

We are getting fairly close though. Finished up our kitchen remodel, new landscaping, and painting the inside of the house this weekend among other things. Meet with some realtors next week and hopefully list in a couple weeks. Wouldn't put us there until March but looks like that month is still pretty snowy for SF so crossing my fingers it all works out like that.

Home inventory in Maple Valley is practically zero. There is literally one house for sale in the entire zip code. We've seen quite a few posts on community FB pages about people asking if anyone knows someone who's about to sell their house in the area. Lots of people still wanting to buy but just nothing out there. Hoping if we can get it up quickly enough we can get ourselves a good ol fashioned bidding war.

Anyways... Longer OT than I planned so circling back to weather... Actually ended up being fairly dry here today with a high of 56. So that was kinda nice.

Rake in that money.

I definitely saw it!  It was cloudy, but the color was amazing.  I have not seen that color before.   Lots of pictures on the local Facebook page.  Here are a few, one from Wenatchee.

Zillow says our place by Elk Run we sold in September 2017 is worth $330K more than we sold it for. Zillow estimates are typically high but even if you knock $100K off that price it’s a huge jump. Good time to sell and move to a place where home values haven’t gone crazy.
