Change of subjects, but I have McDonalds 4 maybe 5 times a year and I tried the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. All of those commercials promoting it. Wow. It was awful. It wasn't crispy, it was just a chicken filet between two buns with no mayo, no sauce, nothing. Dry. Anyhow.

Not good.  But did you also have McDonald’s on Jan 15th 2019.  Just looking for possible analogs here.

This is a lot of fuckking SO2 being pumped into the stratosphere RN. This should be good for a Pinatubo round 2 if not better. I still say it'll get things more Arctic around here like in 1992-93. Volcanic winters seem to favor Oregon.

Stratosphere is ~ 17.5km over Tonga.

Plume height has reached at least 20km now. Looks like the most significant eruption since Pinatubo.

Holy cow, just catching this news! That's one significant volcanic eruption. I didn't even hear that it was showing activity again. The Mount Pinatubo eruption reached 22km.

Must be a lot of build up in there. How long has it been having erruptions?

Looks like a young volcano that breached the surface in 2009.

I think Pinatubo reached between 35-40km.

This one is pretty close to that.

I read the article wrong... yes 35km +. That is definitely into the stratosphere.

This latest eruption of this Tongan volcano has already been documented on Wikipedia. So the January 13th eruption reached 55,000 ft, I'm betting this one may have reached over 60k.

This one is much, much more powerful than the one on 1/13.

We know nothing...we have to admit it. We are little ants and mother nature can squash us at any moment.

Thanks for the clip. 30km that's over 98,000 ft!!! This eruption is somewhere between Mount Pinatubo and Krakatoa.
