Since SLE had a low of 30 at 1am, if they don't go above 50 they will still manage a -1 departure on the new pathetic 30 year averages. lol

Temp bouncing between 36.6 and 37.8. DP 36. Light rain falling from the sky, heavy rain falling from the edges of the roof from the rapid snowmelt and frozen gutters.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

The CFS still shows the same progression as it had been just a little bit delayed, but still happens this month.  7 day average 500mb anom.

Good! I ordered a fancy two person side by side sled since the kids small plastic one broke last week. Hopefully they will get to use it this season!

Still looks promising.  No backing off on the cold outflow from the passes.  The temps has only managed to rise to 34.7 here so far.  That cold just to the east is very powerful right now.

Pretty good pop for my two home steelhead rivers.  This would put the Clackamas just about 2' below flood stage.  The Clack has a long drainage well up into the Cascades.  The Sandy is a lot shorter drainage.  Wind has picked up and temps have popped from 28f this am to 47f.

The important thing is the temp profile hasn't changed much from earlier runs.  Also nice that 2" line hasn't changed location.

This changes a lot faster than the northwest, no matter how much someone says Oregon is bipolar. lol

Wait until March/April. We get some real weather whiplash in the spring.

Some years it’ll go from severe storms at 4pm to accumulating snow by midnight. Especially on your side of the mountains.

Interesting that the snow ratio is greater than 10:1 though, not something you would expect with a marginal event like this.

35 in Everett at 2 PM really stands out to me. That’s significantly cooler than I expected and the South winds have been much weaker than anticipated.

I like the chances for heavy wet slushy accumulations (2-5”) above about 300-400 feet North of Seattle and East of 405 tonight after about 8 PM. It’ll take some luck to get closer to sea level or Seattle South.

One of those situations where 2 degrees cooler doubles those totally and 2 degrees warmer makes all rain below 1,000 feet and in the foothills. Crazy boom and bust potential.
