Dramatic Video of Flooded Tacoma High School Football Field

This is a pretty amazing video.

 

Unexpectedly strong storms on Saturday, October 10th brought 0.42" of rain in 10 minutes and overflowed the drainage system above the field in Tacoma.

 

Looks like the field will be closed until February because the flooding damage is so severe.

All this on a day where I'm pretty sure the forecast was just for "showers" and many areas saw no heavy rain. Weather is fun.

Pretty impressive. It rained pitchforks here on that day also. I thought Saturday would be another one of those days where the WRF went way overboard, but it certainly verified that time.

 

I'm trying to stay interested in the weather this year!
