SURPRISE! We will know in just about 4 months if 2023 is to be the year without a summer. Most likely it will be the record coldest June to September within twenty miles of the coast and then a Santa Ana wind event will finally arrive a few days after the Fall Equinox to finally scour out the marine layer and bring a record high of 116 F to Downtown LA on September 30.

The rest of the country will have a deadly hot summer, hottest ever. There will be 500 million acres burned and smoke will spread across the Atlantic into Europe.

Then El Nino will arrive by November and bring 25 atmospheric rivers in a row to Southern California.
