Pn1ct0g3n
Weatherman’s woe indeed. A few random sprinkles here and there is all we’re getting, then it’s bone dry for the next 10 days at least.
Pn1ct0g3n
Sprinkling over me now. Weird (yet awesome) to get this balmy air with it in the middle of winter.

Pn1ct0g3n
A curious situation sort of like Thursday: where cutoff low winds with scattered light showers and weak offshore winds are sort of…peacefully coexisting. But more widespread this time. Got a decent shower here earlier this morning.

Pn1ct0g3n
What a difference a source of subtropical moisture can make. There were days last Fogust that struggled to reach my high for today: 68.
Reg
Some sprinkles here, a light shower as I drove to the store and back. Nothing measurable, but "exciting" nonetheless.
Thunder98
Today felt like a weak monsoon surge in the Summer time with the big light rain drops and subtropical looking mid level clouds.

AquariusRadar
Here is an interesting article hydro battery - about the hydro pumping battery, the nations biggest and growing energy storage method. This could be used to power an east (wet) to west (dry) aqueduct. A percentage of the solar and wind energy stored would be used to power the lift and overcome the friction of the water flow up and down mountains along the route from the southeast (75+ inches per year) to AZ and SoCal (15+ inches per year). That stored energy not consumed by the aqueduct flow would enter the grid along the path of the aqueduct. https://news.yahoo.com/batteries-hyped-pumped-hydro-provides-134534458.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall 1
