Rain picked up a little bit here and there during the past hour and a half. 0.24" now.

Ramped up a bit more around 8. Dew point is a soupy 71!

And I’m seeing lightning to the north!

Phil sent his weather here. It was raining pretty hard for a while.

Rain stopped around 9 PM. Total for yesterday was 0.39". Nothing since.

Rained until a little after midnight. It wasn’t heavy but it was something.

Wow, the dew point is now at 70F, first time in 5 years that it occurred!

No rain yet, just mid-upper 70s and a lot of cloud cover. Feels downright chilly after the heat wave. Funny how acclimation works.

Our dew point hit the low 70s this morning too. Still is across a lot of the basin.

They’re saying it will all be a dim memory by Tuesday as the Pacific rushes in to claim its birthright.

A little sun poking through would help wring the moisture out of it. So much PWAT that would otherwise go to waste.

It’s interesting how dying tropical systems often bloat outward. Look how big Kay’s remnant low is now:

Lots of clouds, but only a few sprinkles so far today. Nothing measurable.

Still enjoying the massively cooler weather and cloud cover. Today's high of 81F (so far) is the coolest high here since June 4th.

Doppler radar is clearing out. That additional 0.3-0.4" NWS predicted here today was completely non-existent.

It was 5 years ago today that Santa Maria Valley got hit by several rounds of thunderstorms. The big one came 7:30 PM and produced a midwestern style Thunderstorms with tons of lightning and very heavy rain.

Feels very much like Hawaii today. Corner reads 85. The temp, humidity, and wind speed are spot on to what I remember.

Warmer today, briefly hit 91F. Some pop-up thunderstorms are forming nearby, whereas yesterday nothing was happening at all.
