Rain suddenly got louder and heavier outside here.

Very heavy rain here just now, seems to be letting up. My weather station shows a peak rain rate of 1.33"/hr, one minute ago. My total for today jumped from 0.05" to 0.14" in only a few minutes. Temp is 45F during this so snow levels should have come down quite a bit. KNKX shows me getting hit by some yellow/orange patches right now.

Rain has let up to a light drizzle now. Wind still blowing but not as strong. Temperature still sinking, 42F and dropping. Sitting at 0.23" now.

Rainfall rates were never very high here but we had nearly an hour with something coming down. It’s a fast mover and already long gone where I’m at.

There was a period of heavy rain, hail, thunder and lightning here in Orange earlier this evening, which was a pleasant surprise after 6 weeks of no rain. Hopefully we get more storms like this before the season is over!

I received 0.69" here in Orange from all the thunderstorm activity yesterday evening! It didn't rain for an extremely long time, but it really rained heavily when it did, though!

Lol, Wednesday is forecasted to be a little bit colder. Forecast low of 28F for Thursday morning.

For now, the onshore flow is a bit stronger and it kept evening temps from crashing too hard here. 8pm last night it was still 60F.

Back from a weekend in Phoenix. Clearer out in the desert than west of the mountains, where I was greeted by abundant haze. Strangely very little wind in the San Gorgonio Pass on Friday and today as I drove through it, most of the windmills were not spinning at all.

Gunk is starting to loom in the distance after a pretty fine, sunny morning. That’s how it often goes, if the day dawns clear, the ML arrives around lunchtime.

App shows 40% rain chance for some places tomorrow but my area isn’t among them. Wind, yes, but not looking good for this dry winter.
