A glacier is by definition multi-year snowpack that doesn’t melt, compacts into ice, and starts flowing. This process takes at least several years. You aren’t going to make glaciers with one big snow year.

The sun should come out in July. After the SSW curse has died.

July. July. I love you. July. You're only 4 months away.

Then you will probably be saying that it is too hot! Unless you enjoy the hot weather.

Maybe the next storm can destroy the #@$&*@! inversion or at least weaken it since it will be a colder one.

It is common in late March and April for the marine layer to become more dominant after a storm passes, as the flow tends to remain onshore more frequently as we get into spring. However, if we get a cold storm, then it may clear after the storm for a while before the airmass modifies.

Checked it out a few hours ago and yes, my rain gauge had a clog in it. Fortunately I have a manual rain gauge as well. Very heavy rain right now, my season total is approaching 17 inches. 2018-19 and 2019-20 totals both have been surpassed.

Rainfall totals update????

Fixed my totals for the last storm. Only 0.24" left until I surpass 2010-2011's season total, which would make this current season the wettest I've ever recorded since 2009.

Cloudy with some drizzle here this afternoon, but nothing measurable. Hardly any wind here to speak of so far.

What colors are used for your rainfall totals?

It depends on the time of year/season and how above or below average the current season total is (for the current point in the season, not for the entire water year). I don't have any "legend" I use or anything.

If I ever have a season total go past 20 inches, or receive excessive rain early in the season, I'd use the color blue - which I've never had to do yet.

Rain is actually more boring than sunny weather because on a sunny day you can go out and do something. That's why all rain should fall during the night or during work hours.

I prefer Convection precip or heavy steady rain. Drizzle is blah.

I think SE AZ has one of the best climates in the entire Western US.
