The LA NWS office has just issued a blizzard warning for the first time ever. Calling for snow totals of 7 FEET in some spots. This is absolutely unreal. Has to be one of the wettest storms ever with a snow level below 4,000 ft, right?

Hopefully there will be a few nice days in between storms so that the mountains are not buried in clouds and we actually get to see all of that low level snow, but I'm not counting on it.

Unfortunately the AR will bring snow levels above 5000 ft on Friday.

Imagine not understanding how global warming can cause extremes on both ends of the spectrum. A more perturbed jet stream can cause unprecedented snow and cold like this just as much as it can cause extreme heat.

I don’t deny it exists, but some people said years ago there would be no more snow today. Exaggerating the threat does more damage than good and actually breeds deniers.

Also some of the proposed changes to save the world would bring a lot of people into poverty
