Yup I see low lying gunk offshore. Most of the east Pacific is clear save for some stuff sloozing up the coast from Baja. Microclimates are getting more pronounced.

On the bright side, this setup could help warm up the ocean and reduce gloom for a while.

Wow! 96F in Lawndale, just 3 miles from the coast. Feels pretty dang near that here too. Even Santa Monica has hit 87.

Tomorrow should be the last day of it, with a massive marine push roaring in on Saturday “bringing temps down 20-30 degrees overnight” according to the LA Times.

HOLY CRAP! 100 F on the corner by me! Easily the highest I’ve ever seen it go in April. Actual readings from the area seem to say 94. Still that’s INSANE for such an exposed coastal location.

It's quite toasty and desertlike outside, but at least the humidity is low. Also dewpoint is a better measure of discomfort than humidity.

97F in Murrieta now, officially hotter than the past two days.

Sea breeze has kicked in and the mercury is 86 and dropping. Single digit humidity ratings have made the near-century mark temps feel quite a bit cooler than they are.

Good chance I wake up to fog tomorrow. Often happens when a high pressure system rapidly breaks down overnight allowing the marine layer to reform fast.
