Can't remember a May fire before, even in So Cal. Gonna be a long summer down there.

Fire is in Laguna Niguel. I could not see any smoke from here.

I really want this weather so badly! This occurred during the remnants of Hurricane Dolores impacted California back in July 2015. It's really rare to have coastal area in California to have the warmest temps so late in the day, usually it's the warmest around 1pm. I'm so sick of these cold onshore winds! The only good thing about it the lack of marine layer stratus clouds!

Powerful smell of smoke here in the Temecula Valley over the past few hours. Presumably from the fire in Laguna Niguel.

In Manhattan Beach (as exposed as you can get), I’ve noticed our high usually hits shortly before lunchtime. By 1 it’s usually quite breezy unless something is suppressing the sea breeze.

“No heat for SD” Still pretty warm for mid May! It could always be worse, namely a fogwave where it’s below normal at the coast where everywhere else sizzles! We had more than our fair share of those in 2020-2021.

Water temps are way below avg on the central coast. Only around 51F at the beaches around Lompoc, normally its in the mid to upper 50’s.

It's currently 73F in Santa Maria right now with offshore winds and only 52F in Lompoc.
