Very noisy outside, all from the wind which refuses to let up. My windows keep creaking and flexing.

Checked my station records. 35 MPH is the highest gust I've recorded at this station since 2014. The previous record was 34 MPH which happened on both 12/26/2015 and 1/31/2016. Visibility is becoming poor due to all the dirt being kicked up.

Winds calmed down during the evening, allowing the temperature to plummet rather quickly until an hour ago, when lights winds started back up and have warmed temperatures back up.

I’m noticing it too, the light is brighter now. The 40° mark is where I notice a real change in the character of the light and it also seems to be the trigger for a stronger sea breeze.

Weak offshore pattern continues as it has for the last month or so. The Santa Anas are blowing but they run out of energy before they reach the coast.

That in my opinion was one of the worst winters on record for Socal because it was so dry during the heart of winter (January to March). I am hoping this year doesn't finish that way and hope we have another rather wet spell before this season ends.

The high today was 73F and 33F was the low. A 40F diurnal range!

This week could see the warmest Feb temps since 2016! Unlike last year where the heat was completely lacking for coastal areas from much of the year. This year is looking different.

72F here too and low 50s / upper 40s at night. 
 

Will 2022 continue the Godzilla Inversion Years or will we finally see a shift in the pattern? Time will tell.

I think these types of heat advisories are fairly new, especially during warm spells during the winter. I am sure we have had unseasonably warm to hot weather in Februaries past in which no heat products whatsoever were issued.

This month is looking a lot like Feb 2016.

It's quite a warm afternoon. Sun will set at 5:30 tomorrow.

It was hotter than expected today. The high was 88F and the low was 39F! This is the highest temp since Feb 2016 where it reached 88F three times that month. Also broke the daily record today, beating old record of 87F back in 2016.

A single gust of wind just now changed the temperature from 49F to 66F in less than five minutes here. I'm literally watching my Davis console right now, the temperature is rising about every five seconds. This is the fastest I've ever seen the temperature change in a very short time. Just while typing this message, I had to change the current temperature seven times.

Winds finally stopped, temperature is very quickly plummeting again. From 49F to 66F in barely ten minutes, and now 62F and sinking very fast.
