Just a heads up on a couple changes in the name of site security:
1. All users will now need to sign in with their email address, not display name. This will take effect next time you log out/back in. Just a bit more secure using your email than using a public-facing display name.
2. Any admin/staff accounts will now need to have multi-factor authentication setup on them. This is done through Google Authenticator integration, but can be used with any 2FA app (I use Authy, for example).
Re: GFS. Easy way to tell in 90% of cases is, if the solution involves a ULL trapped underneath a horseshoe of ridging, it’s probably typical GFS goofiness.
If it’s a clean ridge without a trapped ULL, it’s much more likely to be a legitimate outcome. Of course neither case is 100% certain/foolproof.
12Z GFS wants to put snow down again over Central and Western Nebraska next Wednesday. I would usually disregard this in April, but last weekend's system overperformed here and we have had snowstorms in April during the last decade. Will never turn down more moisture.
