Maybe not... but it is interesting to me that its not just related to the Puget Sound region.     The ECMWF seems to just have a cold bias overall.

How close are you to the water?

ECMWF sfc temps run cool here April-June but is much more accurate July-Oct when the waters are warm and there’s less land/sea contrast.

Crazy how the TPV doesn’t even move 50 miles thru week-2.

Literally stationary w/ near -50C 700mb temps. Brutal. 🥶

It consistently runs too cool for places right next to the water like SEA and BLI.   And in my area as well.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

And 45 miles east of the cascade crest (aka, rain shadow, aka, completely different climates compared to Bachelor's parking lot, despite similar elevations)

"Snowpack" on Pine Mountain has no impact on the area's fire season. Climo is dry....period

It’s part of a bigger picture central oregon has been in a drought for years and that does impact fire season

Fire season in CO has always been 8 to 9 months due to climo.

Lack of precipitation has more effect on aquifers and the stress on the water needs of 200 thousand people who live there.

Exceptionally wet years "might" reduce the fire season to about half the year, but climo will always prevail.

Left the gloom and doom behind and headed to your area.   It was so warm here with even a fragrance of spring in the air! It was a bit breezy as well

Sounds lovely!
