Let's see how dreary and cold March and April will be though. 😅

At 3035' in BC it might be pretty dreary and cold.

Was just out in that area yesterday right off exit 38 at about the 2500 foot level once you get in the backcountry I began encountering 3-4 feet of solid snow pack.

Anywhere to find hourly obs for this event used to be able to on wunderground

This was such a nice event. In the middle of what was a very torchy February. Overall that wasn’t a terrible winter in the willamette valley. Very cool November, with some wet nonsticking snow to the valley floor a couple times. A nice snow event in early December too.

Tolerable is a very subjective term of course.   I would venture to guess weather like today is perfectly tolerable for a large percentage of the population.    ;)

Anecdotally... seeing lots of posts on the NB Facebook page complaining about the hundreds of cars parked near trailheads and creating traffic problems on this beautiful day.

Pretty interesting ECMWF run.  Some lowland snow and well below normal temps toward the end.  Looks like a lot of N to NW flow and northerly surface gradient type stuff coming up.  Far from terrible at least.

Meanwhile...it dropped to 30 here last night and it's a really nice day.  First half of the month will end up pretty close to normal temp wise.  We also have a pretty good Indian Ocean (becoming Maritime Continent) MJO wave emerging.  It will approach region 5 by months end which is a really good spot for us.  I'm just disappointed we couldn't come up with something during the first part of Feb.
