Using UW but doesn't show anything East of 405 now. Cameras still showing snow in some areas East of 405

Really blown away by this. Strong gusts and snow coming down at good clip. Ground completely snowcovered. Love a good surprise!

Agree with those saying radar is underselling it. This is the radar at my place but it’s coming down heavier than any other point in the evening.

Better than I could have hoped for.  A nice blanket of snow on the ground and now clearing out and freezing up.  Awesome!

I think this makes 5 of the past 6 Febs to have measurable snow here now.  That is a pretty amazing stat.  And yet another significant Feb cold wave.

Looks like the bands are headed for the kitsap peninsula.  We'll see. The wind has been stronger here than the Dec event.

At least we had 10" of sloppy snow in late Dec. A lot better than most years.

The CAA is really getting some teeth now.  SEA already down to 31 with gusty winds.  Looking a bit colder than model projections for this early in the evening.  Good sign!

Somebody needs to take the GFS metograms out behind the woodshed...just plain terrible.  No freeking way the coldest low for SEA will be 28 from this event.

30 degrees here and gusts to 35. Dewpoint is 20.

I'll have to think long and hard about the grade for this winter.  Pretty hard to argue with two significant cold waves and snow with both.  On the other hand a lot of January was pretty lame again.   One stat I could do really well with IMBY is lows of 20 or below.  Already have 4 and a couple more this week is pretty doable.

I will give It a B- to a B. January was horrific. I had fog/low clouds for 10-14 days straight. Can’t overcome it no matter what.

But is it snowing at your house? Looks like most places in western wa are not seeing snow.

0.25" after all is said and done! 32/26 and cloudy now.

I’m going to hold off  grading this winter, let’s see what March brings. Vast stretches of this winter have been pretty lame, but the December event was good and this event seems somewhat decent. Today was a good start, hopefully we over achieve on temps the next few days.

As for this winter's grading, this event will probably nudge it up half a grade level, if at all. If we stay below freezing all day tomorrow that would be an automatic half grade raise. But that's going from a C+ to a B-. In actuality it will be March that decides things the most. If we end up actually getting into a progressively wet pattern (and lord permit another snow event) that would forgive much of this recent awful dry period.

It really speaks to the difference in expectations for our respective locations. A solid A for this winter here. The Boxing Day snowstorm and the 2 rounds the next 2 nights were spectacular, even if we didn't stay below freezing, 10" of snow is tremendous when compared to the majority of winters.
