Pretty good sign that it keeps upping the totals. Should atleast see some snow falling at this point.

I love these satellite pictures from today. Not a single unfrozen piece of land or water. Currently only -8F still.

Lowest since 1/5/2017 when they also hit 1. Actually would have to go back to 12/7/2013 to find a lower reading there at -2.

This is a deep airmass.

Kinda wishing the Portland area could have cashed in on lows better this morning but then again that same mixing gave us sub 40 highs yesterday live by the sword die by the sword

Wondering how low tonight could go before high clouds move in ahead of tomorrow’s clipper

East wind should also ensure another sub-40 day today there near the river. Pretty good if they pull off two with such minimal cloudcover in late February. Even a top tier airmass like late February 1962 didn't manage that at PDX a few days later in the calendar.

Could be a nailbiter they are up to 36 at noon with the east wind slacking a bit. Holding at 34 here

Supercooled liquids are a thing

I really need to buy trough heaters for our livestock water, last night and this morning sucked breaking up the ice and pouring buckets of hot water in to make sure they could drink. We didn't have as many animals back in 2016-17 or that winter would have been a total nightmare.

Just bring the troughs into your house at night, that is what I do with my deck dog water pail. 😀

Very similar hard chunky snow conditions today as it was 4yrs ago! Those booties do not stay on her Feet very well so she is not allowed to hardcore run in the yard the last two days since we have an agility competition this weekend! 😀

18Z GFS says that SW WA and NW OR will be the big winner tonight... the NAM and HRRR say Randy will be the big winner.    My bet is on Randy.   😀
