If I remember correctly there were hints starting to pop up in far fantasy land right around or just after Thanksgiving which was also late (27th) and we really started taking notice buy around the 30th or so when it just kept showing up and moving up in time! Ideally I would love to see a 2008 redux but a week later or so. Fo my area the action began on 12/13/08 and ended for the most part on 12/26/08. I would love to see it begin around the 18th and go right to the new year!
