Got 4" yesterday with 9" OTG.
Post Christmas storm shifted North on the Euro after the GFS abandoned the Northern precio look.

Wow, that's pretty impressive to see since your region has been shafted the last couple winters. Your snow base should fill up quite a bit over the next week or so. For the remainder of the sub-forum that is south of you, I've always felt it's important to build a snow pack up your way that will benefit in seeding more cold air into systems. We may see this in fact happen with our next big storm post-Christmas. Good luck this season!
Last yr was my first one as a N. Plains transplant and was indifferent about how mild it was.
Glad that this one is off to a good start.
Good luck to all.

Glad to see you back! How much snow do you have on the ground???
Thanks Tom.
The last event was that prolong system that stalled along Lake of the Woods. Problem became the second half of the storm was high ratio and wind driven.
Here at the wx shop on base we went with 6.5 storm total which provided the majority of what's out there now...somewhere in the 6 to 8 range for snow base.
To our NW they cashed in on prolong deformation and banding with approx foot of fluff OTG.
