HRRR and RAP showing a around 1" that still is not in the grids for DSM -- a good sign as it will allow the atmosphre to saturate quicker for the main show.
Good for you.

My thinking is a band of 6-10 inches right through Lincoln-Omaha and with some 8-14 amounts furthur SE ecp along border into a good chunk of E KS. SW IA looks solid on that 6-10 band to but more advisory type as you head towards DSM.
Where do you see this at?

So KETV Randy in Omaha says, 3-6 and dry slot.
Basically story of Omaha, like a lot. LOL
Dry air… not dry slot

6z NAM going to look a lot like the 0z nam. No major changes through hr 60
Do you by chance have snow totals for euro?
-
It looks definitely possible. But the Tuesday event, and the possible late week one, are going to be followed by arctic air again. I love extreme cold and the first two were cool, but man it's just getting to be too much. I'm a huge winter lover, but I'm almost ready to say I'm ready for spring and severe storms. This winter has just been brutal in terms of cold especially. I want one more 6+" storm, and then I'll be good.
Btw, my mom went to Loras, and I'm going to Augustana College in Rock Island and that's where my dad went and where my brothers currently attend.
Nice! Yea Augie is a good school on a beautiful campus. Just don't let the district eat ya up lol. I miss the QC a lot. There is nowhere like home but I also love Omaha.
-
Okay, I thought so. I grew up in the Quad Cities and I remember Dubuque would get some big storms. My cousin went to Loras and he went through some big ones up there. I am sure you will get a good one. Next weekend could be a monster! P

It's all good man, I jumped on you because I thought you were trying to come over here and make me feel bad for wanting a big storm. My bad. I know you've had it way worse, and it's hard for me to put that in perspective, but I've been so close to some 7-12" totals this year, I want in on that! I've been getting a lot of 1-2" events and a 3-4" event every once in a while, it makes me hungry for something bigger!!
I hear ya man, that is what winter does to you. It gives you a taste of it and then you want more and more. Do you live in Dubuque?
-
Good job euro.
-
lol both totals are. Just be glad you have over 6". I really didn't mean to make you mad, just saying appreciate what you have gotten and will get! You guys have a lot of time left.
-
Ya know, no one forced you to come over to the Great Lakes forum, just saying. I know you're frustrated because you haven't had snow, but I love snow and want a storm to give me more than 6" this year, which I haven't had yet. So let me want my snow with without people having to comment about how much 36" of snow is this year, which really isn't all that crazy. It's more than your area, I get it, but that's not my fault.
Wow, thanks for the warm welcome!! Not sure why your getting so angry but okay. lol. I do have to say, 36" of snow is a lot.
-
I agree. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's what I was thinking.
-
Can't believe this upcoming storm is gonna be surpressed to the south, ugh.
Ya you guys haven't had enough snow yet.
-
Little over 1" in Omaha!!! Biggest snow of the year!! Season total up to around 5.5"!!!!!
-
We get shafted again!
-
weather.com said that from se neb to ne ks to mich could get any where from a foot to 2 feet of snow
Listening to TWC was your first mistake.
-
Euro onlyl shows 6". By Monday it will be down to 1-2".
-
GFS is lame for me. Still have some time though.
Your system is the one tomorrow.
-
Three possible snow systems in seven days! Things looking up!!
-
Omaha looking good to see 3-4 inches total over next 2 days with that overunning WAA snow. Heaviest looks to be in south-central NE with some local 6+ amounts.
Would probably be a winter storm warning system.
-
Flowers said that more precip will probably occur if the northern branch doesn't get involved. He said that .5" down south will move more north!!
-
Really just another great day of model runs!!! Can't wait, it's going to get realllllly active.
-
Nws with 2-4" in their graphics for Friday and Friday night. I literally don't remember the last time I saw that! Every time lately it's been accumulation less than an inch
Better hope that stays. Models starting to take all snow south of us. According to nam and GFS we get nothing. Hope for this to change today.
-
Another great run for us from the cmc. Can't wait for more good runs! Starting to think it might as well miss us now.
-
Not once did i say we shouldn't be frustrated. I live in Lincoln, Im right there with ya with the frustrations, but what do you wanna do? Head south and push the storm this way? BTW i would if i could
Sad to say that we are all really excited for a system that will bring 1-3". Possibly the biggest storm of the year!!
