OK thanks. I'm trying to figure out if I should send my husband home from Kent. He of course drives a Mustang...

@SnowySeeker50 I can't tell from my doorbell cam - but I see the temp is below freezing - Is there freezing rain in Lakeland? It looks very wet, but it doesn't look like snow.

Woke up to no snow. South wind is going and nearest WU station says it's 35⁰.
I'm sad and in full on weenie-mode.
Edit: 25 mins later, it's now 39⁰. Poop.

Evaporative cooling. Same way sweat cools your body, raindrops falling through non-saturated air partially evaporate and cool the surrounding air. The greater the offset between air temperature and dewpoint, the more the temperature will drop as precipitation starts.
Thanks for explaining this. I wondered too!

Rain changed to snow where I am in Issaquah.
Friend in fall city called said it’s dumping snow there. I think this afternoon is going to be more messy than expected.
Still rain in downtown Issaquah...but it sure did get dark quickly.

Crazy because I live literally 15 minutes down that road and it’s cold rain here.
It was the same for me at work in downtown Issaquah. It was a nice surprise!

I'm just so sick and tired of the rain. I'm tired of having to constantly hope and wish for the best outcome in order to score, when it rarely works out. I'm tired of seeing many other areas in the PNW score large winter storm totals while we have to do handstands, cartwheels, and backflips in order to get an inch. I'm just so beyond tired of this climate.
I realize how the above makes me sound considering I'm coming out of a period with 13+ inches and snow cover for a week+ but I'm just done with it all. Ready for a big change.
So, yes, I am being a giant weenie. I'll be the first to admit it. Feel free to throw all the weenies at me.
I totally get it.

Sticking snow in Lake Tapps/Lakeland Hills per my doorbell cam. I'm sure it will be a quick dusting, but still nice to see everything white again.
