The melt down is on... still waiting to be blasted with wind which will help the process a great deal. That should happen later this morning.

47 degrees and moderate rain. Still about a half inch of snow on grass. Sump pumps are going crazy with all this rain and snow melt (life at the bottom of a hill ).
Looking forward to some nice weather so I can clean up the yard a bit a cut up a huge branch that fell

And back to the silver dollar flakes....must be a heavy shower.

What an Awesome night! enjoyed just staring at the lamplight and didn't want to go to sleep. Woke up at 4 am and it was still dumping. I finally looked at the radar and saw the moisture was just about to shut off but very happy with what I got here. I will go out to the measuring bench in a bit but looks around 6 inches here.
Bonney lake is the Huge winner!

This has got to be the longest period of nonstop heavy 34 degree rain I've ever seen here before. If nothing else, the precip rates and totals are impressive.
How is Johnson creek responding to all the rain...flooding yet?

Struggle is right. I thought I was going to go out of my skull waiting for it to really get going.
This is the payoff situation for my location. SW flow aloft and NW drift at the surface bringing the cold air in.
Took a screen shot earlier of the radar when you said you weren't getting any snow yet. By golly there was Covington with green rain echoes showing up with snow surrounding you. I do not understand how this can happen but none the less it does. I didn't post the image out of respect as you didn't want to see the radar.
Glad we're finally getting the goods and no snow shadow!
This means no sleep for us tonight

This is a Suerbowl storm for sure! I'm just amazed of all the variables coming together to make this snow happen. Just sitting back and enjoying the unfolding event. Wife headed down to Portland and sending me pics of the snow along I-5.
Waiting patiently for the sky to turn to white here in Federal way

The latching on to each successive model is such a joke on this forum. North, south, north, south. It really is quite laughable.
