I am in Cincinnati today. My girlfriend and myself had time to spare and just came down yesterday, had no idea I’d be sitting in a moderate risk though! Going to hang around here for awhile, see if I can catch some monster storms.

Cell just South of me is now severe warned. Includes most of Lincoln. 60mph wind gusts although there is a nice looking hail core on radar.
That hail core is exploding. The rotation signal near Lincoln looks really impressive, wouldn’t be surprised to see some big time hail for you guys. Take videos man!!!!

My family is in our basement storm shelter. Tornado warning sirens have been going off for 5 minutes. Rotation just south of Holdrege moving Northeast. Torrential rainfall and small hail. This is all a little surprising in how quick it developed.
There is a confirmed tornado right by you. It was on the ground for 8 minutes, according to a storm chaser I’m watching. Storm looks menacing, stay safe my man, and keep us updated!

Could you send some out this way? Boy that sounds good.
Duuuude the weather here is friggin perfect right now. Bout to go for a run on the lakeshore and I can’t wait. I can’t remember having this great of weather in June back in Neb. Loving it!

CentralnebWx, the tornado warned storm had a confirmed funnel cloud near Wilcox. Did you see anything?! Like Gabel said, that thing had a well pronounced hook to it.
-
For sure. That storm in 2015 was insane, west side of LNK got 8-10” that one night I think which is almost impossible to top. Anyways, that storm to your SW just went severe, so if you get any good pics you should post em! I miss storms in the plains alreadyNah. The bigger totals will come in a thin band of 5" amounts. If Lincoln gets lucky enough to get those 5" amounts, then yes it may be possible that we see another 2015 scenario.
EDIT: this is probably just my shiddy radar, but is that a hook echo?!

Currently, sunny and simply gorgeous, although, a tad humid. Temps are in the 70s.
Is that your house in that picture? If so when can I move in?? Place is gorgeous.

I was basically saying it should include us lol. I'm not sure why they have the Central Nebraska boner right not as I think the primary threat stays East of Grand Island.
My bad dude! Totally agree!! They alwayssss do though I hate it. They’re so dumb honestly the HRRR and NAM have consistently shown you guys are in a good spot, easily wort warranting a moderate risk for winds atleast. I’m excited for you!
-
Yeah I don't agree with the placement. I think it needs to be rotated 90° and moved a bit East/Northeast for it to capture the bow echo at its worst. Everywhere around it can be enhanced.
Nah fam I think you guys get drilled. Please take videos and send them to me when the storms get there!! I miss seeing storms on the horizon out there

Made it here as well. It was pouring for about 10 min, let up a bit ago, but some heavier cells are creeping their way here.
Nada here! Lol what’re the odds eh? I think we’ll be fine but it’s muggy af so some rain cooled air would be nice.

Looks like Lincoln is getting those insanely high precip cells before they merge into an MCS. Happy for you guys!! Hope you score tonight!

Back in Chi, it's a blustery, cold, cloudy and windy morning here with a temp of 46F. Some spots near the lake are in the low 40's! @IllinoisWx, you freezing your a** up?? LOL...Yup, gonna flip the furnace on again this month. Sooo looking forward to the mid 80's mid and late week around here.
This map says it all for OMA folks...@CentralNeb scores much needed precip...I think we've seen him score more hits out of anyone in NE. Spotty heavy rains in KS which is normal;y the case in summer convective patterns.
Literally 18 of 20 days this month I’ve rocked a hoody. Today it’s even worse lol where’s the winter jackets at

We picked up close to 3” over the past two days, and like Tom said, Lightning was pretty dang vivid. Also, what in the hell is going on with the east coast?! This is the second moderate risk for the area in two weeks. You guys steal our snow enough, can’t you atleast leave the severe weather for us?! Check out that wind threat, been awhile since I’ve seen a 60% show up on the SPC, let alone in that area my god:

It's really quite fascinating, but both the RPM and 18z NAM paint the heaviest corridor of precip right over N IL into N IN through this weekend. Smack dab where the heaviest snows fell during the Feb 8th-9th snowstorm. Correlation??? Yes...
Bullseyes me. Feel like I’m in a pretty awesome spot in general tbh, knock on wood. I also went running earlier today along the lake and almost got frostbite, not even exaggerating. Lake Michigan is a like a refrigerator man it’s insane.

My parents who live Elmwood Park (just a few miles from me) reported massive trees uprooted and landing on peoples cars and homes along with hail from this evenings storms. Going to flip on WGN and see if they have any footage on the 9:00 news. Tom - anything like that up by you? That same storm barley brushed me and the sun was actually out during all of it.
For some reason my last post was formatted weird so hopefully this one comes through better. This sucker came right over me and gave its last hurrah over my area. There was minor damage around here but my gosh the initial wind was incredible so I’m not surprised elm wood got smoked!
Here’s a video I took as it rolled through! https://youtu.be/wcDd3qrbb14

Gabel23 be careful out there man, that is some strong rotation right by your place.

Will you be here next week?
Moving in tonight!
Also, I’m super jealous of Nebraska Rn, the setup so far for severe weather is looking promising! SPC has a day 6 outlook for Eastern Neb.

Nope! @IllinoisWx isn't going to like living next to the chilly Lake Michigan next month. Its actually running rather chilly for the time of year.
Lol very true, not a fan of that! I need me some 80s on the lake so i can go running and not hate my life. Chicago needs to heat up D****T!
