Kiro FM reporting that I-5 is now closed due to flooding. We are cut off in the Puget sound area now with all passes closed.
That's a little dramatic lol

Just plain raining here in whatcom county, but Brennan said northern county is covered in ice from freezing rain.

29* and occasional freezing rain/drizzle. My little black wagon finally met it's match with this 6" of heavy wet snow. Too heavy/thick to plow through. I still made it out of my neighborhood, but I had to work A LOT harder to get it done. All the roads are pretty dodgy, 542/Sunset was the best in the 2 lane part, then once it opened up to 5 lanes it turned to sh*t. Other city surface streets...utter sh*t. At this point I'm ready to get above freezing and wash this crap away, reset and get ready for the next round!
My wife had to come up to Barkley to meet me, and she said it was worse for her than this morning (except for I-5, which was good).
Thinking school is closed again tomorrow at this rate

Laying in bed with the window open. Can hear the snow ripping around in the wind. Quite calming honestly

I am bummed that I am really wiped out tonight, it would be fun to watch some of the super heavy stuff pass through. Super busy day tomorrow so I guess I should make the whole adulting thing a priority and zonk out.
I've been down in Everett for all of the events up here, so I'm trying to stay awake for this one

Looking at the radar returns we're about to get nailed with some very heavy snow.
Hoping to see those hit Whatcom County as well

Which radar can I use on radarscope to avoid the V shape lull around Bellingham? Lol

I love the cities it chooses to highlight.
Like the very large metropolis of Saanich in big font... and you can't forget the Central Saanich district.
And of course Picnic Point - North Lynnwood.
Spent a lot of time at Picnic Point beach the last 2 summers

32.9 here some heavier precip rolling in. I expect a bit of snow before I join the 33* drizzle club
I just caught up 7 pages but I still want to join the dog photos before the weenies show up. His name is Phil and no he’s not named after our favorite east coaster. This is the look he gives me when I go to check the streetlights for the 69th time in one night.
Nice. Cute dog btw

What is going on with environment Canada. 2 cm near the water and meanwhile every model predicts more than 10 cm and we have 5+ cm on the ground here at sea level in esquimalt
You're so focused on the differences between models or forecasts. Take an average and enjoy the snow lol

How is it that the wrf and the gfs show me getting 8-10 inches and the RGEM and euro show me getting 3 lol? I’ve never had a situation where within 12 hours of the event theres been that much variation
Literally happens all of the time

With that said, would be nice to see the Euro put out some nice snow totals on the 12z

GFS, not Euro.
Yup. If that was the Euro it would be a big upgrade

Looks like a very nice event up north. Sumas 19 degrees and wind, full blown Fraser outflow.
Whatcom County is primed. I'm leaving town tonight however, so I'll enjoy whatever flakes fall

Since this is the NAM I’m going to throw it out.
If you don't like what it shows, throw it out right?!
