  1. Something interesting: If you ever watched the “weatherscan” channel back in the 2000s, some people have a project where they made an online emulator that you can load up anytime on desktop. If you go to weatherscan.net on desktop, it should load up an emulator with that classic jazz music it would play back in the day. Here’s a picture of it I took the other day:
  2. I’m glad this arctic blast gave us the Nyberg copypasta, which I’m sure will be used during every intense period of model riding for the foreseeable future.
  3. But the mental aspect is so real. All I could think about while driving through snowy Mill Creek / South Everett is the fact that there’s nothing accumulating at my place and then I’d check the traffic cams to see if there’s maybe some accumulation and there’d be nothing even if it was snowing somewhat heavily. At least I learned this lesson while I’m young!
  4. Yeah it’s insane. I never knew the difference between south Everett and downtown were that major before I moved, I bet if I had seen those numbers at some point in the past I would’ve thought of it when I bought this place, but here I am. After the few cold snaps last year and now this one I’ve realized that I need an absolutely perfect setup for me to get good quality snow here. I’m sure the more it happens over the next few years the more I’ll get used to it leading to less weenie meltdowns. Hopefully..
  5. Officially ended up with just a dusting here in DT Everett. Drive about 5 minutes south and there’s about a half an inch and everything looks beautiful. I just have to remember this is my fault that I bought this place without taking snow into consideration. This is a mistake I will not make again in my lifetime Already told my wife certain requirements for our next place (East of Highway 9 / I-405 and above 500’.)
  6. Yep. Right when I thought I was finally going to score it vanished out of nowhere areas with elevation near Mill Creek got a half inch to an inch, ended up with just a dusting on cars and grass here.
  7. Really curious as to how long this CZ over Everett will last. Doesn’t seem like any of the models picked up on it being there this late. The NAM shows that it “already happened” and it would be over by now. Euro somewhat too
