that pattern could be a problem on the eastern seaboard as we get into the meat of the hurricane season with the maine trough in the mid west ohio vally could spell some east coast hurricane threats.Changes are brewing for this month and they may have some legs. An extended period of much cooler weather is heading for the central/southern plains. The latest CFSv2 is quite cool/wet for the ag belt and a lot of our members. Sign me up!
Big time flip in our wx pattern coming up if the models are right...

the big question will be how weak will cycle 25 ultimately be should be interesting. The sun has awaken from the depths of Solar cycle #24....Solar cycle #25 has begun....2 sunspots are spotted on our fascinating star in the sky.

I'm not sure why so many forecasts went for storms today when we had down sloping west winds that kind of gos against what we know about convection events.

Another round of storms this evening going through quite an active three day period.it is absolutely pouring here now.mother nature is sending her tears of the Sad year that is 2020.
-
one thing for sure it can't get any worse then last winter where we did not even get an inch of snow so while this winter could still suck for us It would be surpising to see us get totterly shut out two years in a roll unless we are in some historical low cycle.Makes sense, unfortunately (for me).
I’m gonna be stuck under default ridging for at least another year, I think. Maybe longer.

this weather sucks balls but it is how we do july Well around here doing the Dog days of summer hazy, hot and humied hell.Heat index approaching 110°F. Life-force draining.

The DCA heat island is really driving Tony Pann up a wall

yeah seems like an unavoidable 60 + of 90s this summer for sure.Hilarious. Mostly cloudy day with mediocre upper level temps, yet somehow we’re pushing 90°F. Must be the downsloping flow.
15th consecutive day at/above 90°F. Gonna be another year with 60+ days above 90°F, I think.

What is up with these bigger lady bugs this year? I have notice them alot literly on the cars.
-
We are suck city for the next few months at least.13 consecutive days at/above 90°F. And there’s a death ridge pattern on the horizon.

only thing it really garrentees is we are going to suck with the heat for a while hereI don’t have the stomach to look at it right now.
Something like that, yeah.

agreeGiven the DCAPE values present, I’ll go with microburst.
-
Something really major hit an isolated pasadena location not sure of it was a down burst or a tornado but they really got hit hard in the Boykin location in Lake shore pasadena.

Storm literly died to just light to moderate showers amazing how fast these things go up and come down.
-
people trap in a pasadena location from a tree that fell lots of tree damaged around that pasadena location this storm was no joke when it came through!Large towers erupting almost overhead. Downdrafts are slightly SW of here, just over the river, but can hear the constant thunder. Getting some southerly outflow from them over the last 5mins or so.
Currently ~ 92/72. Hopefully we get some rain to cool things down for the evening.

Heavy Thunderstorm passing through here.started east of Baltimore now heading due south strange storm movement as of late with thunderstorms.had a couple lighting bolts with thunder nearly the same time.
-
the models did a very poor job with this weekend's convection for one thing they showed northern Maryland Pa getting the storms they completey missed central maryland getting hit the hardest yesterday.Glad I’m in NC. Storms split around our house too.
-
Thunderstorms just a few mails to my south and one north talk about a huge split in the middle currenly
