  1. Wow you stayed cold!! I was 36/26 here. Must be the swamp winds. D**n you PuyallupJohn!!! Currently 28.8
  2. I think this sums it up well for the Puget Sound... NWS .... LONG TERM...PREVIOUS DISCUSSION...A PATTERN CHANGE IS EXPECTED ON SATURDAY WITH A RETURN TO WET WEATHER. BUT THERE WILL LIKELY BE A PERIOD OF SNOW OR MIXED PRECIPITATION DURING THIS TRANSITION. THE LOW LEVEL AIR MASS WILL REMAIN COLD/DRY WHILE MOISTURE INCREASES ALOFT AS A WARM FRONT MOVES IN. THE LIKELY SCENARIO IS PRECIP STARTING AS SNOW /SAT AFTERNOON OR EVENING/...THEN CHANGING OVER TO ALL RAIN SAT NIGHT AS WARMER MARINE AIR SURGES INLAND. HOWEVER... THERE ARE STILL A LOT OF UNCERTAINTIES IN THE FORECAST AS THE MODELS ARE NOT ALIGNED. IT WILL LIKELY TAKE A FEW MORE CYCLES UNTIL THEY LATCH ONTO A SOLID SOLUTION. THE BIG QUESTIONS WILL BE THE TIMING OF THE SNOW/RAIN TRANSITION AND THE TOTAL PRECIP AMOUNTS. THE FORECAST FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK IS TRENDING BACK TO NORMAL AS A SERIES OF FRONTS CROSS THE PAC NW. 33
  3. I did not get much here either about 2 inches and what did fall here mostly melted later that day. Some areas did better though.
  4. not really... Will not stick around as there will be a warm up afterward and most of WA gets screwed, again. This is nothing like 2008...
  5. Great for you guys!! I will be thinking of you while PuyallupJohn and I mow our lawns here in the swamp.
  6. I hate you just a little! -- Honestly that is beautiful .. Happy for you.
  7. LOL!!! Omg! this is so awesome and classic for our area... I swear to God this area had been the suck zone of western Wa since I have lived here. I honestly find it quite funny!!!!! Hey I got flurries today!!! I better chain up
  8. I am proud to say I am having an epic snow flurry here in Bonney Lake. It kind of fits our epic winter we've had so far. Amazing!
  9. yep, back to typical PNW winter WEATHER... gotta luv our one day of snow out 365.
  10. Been a number of flurries and light showers today but not nearly as much reaching the ground as the radar shows.
  11. Maybe no south wind but showers are rotating in from the south heading north with no south wind then.
  12. Hmm looks like a convergence zone it trying to form around Kirkland. To early to know for sure but the Southerly and Northerly winds seem to be colliding at that point based on the radar. I have seen this happen before with this type of setup. Worth watching!
  13. It may actually be seeing snow turn to slop isn a few hours... For some it may be ice we all know how fun that is. Hopefully It is ends up being better than that though.
  14. Showers are increasing but mainly staying south and east. Amazing what a weak little low can do.
  15. Nice to see snow showers increasing a little in my neck of the woods! The odd thing is the are moving toward me from the south west heading NE. Very cool!
  16. I was actually surprised to see a light dusting of snow on my car this morning. It was very light but at least it was something I did not expect.
  17. omg!!! 3 inches of snow at my house before it turns to rain... I am beyond excited.
  18. enjoy! At least some gets snow for a few hours on this run. I hope things can improve for everyone.
  19. yeah super quick... Epic and memorable I am sure.
  20. Out to hour 99 on EURO it looks like low pressure is heading right toward the WA/OR boarder.. Still to soon on the run to know for sure.
  21. On the ECMWF at hour 75 cold not as far south but penetrating a bit deeper westward. Still chilly just less southward movement. WA stays cold.
