Dropped quickly to 35 and snow in Burien after a period of hail or graupel. Looks to be lightening up now though.

My brother lives north of Enumclaw by Palmer and he is getting strong east winds. He's been out of power for several hours now.

I'm also here. I'm in a grey sweater with jeans and have a beard.

I rarely post, but am a huge lurker going back to the old farmers almanac forum days and will probably stop by since I work near there.

Just drove over Cayuse Pass and it was 35 with a light snow shower.

Just switched to snow in Burien. Probably at SeaTac as well.

As long as we avoid split flow hell, I'm a happy camper. AR, 40 degree rain, 25 degree snow, or 15 degrees and dry are all fine by me.

Disappointing (and kinda hard to believe) that SEA didn't pick up anything measurable yesterday. But they still managed 4.4" this past week, not too shabby.
I live about a mile west of the airport and got measurable snow. No way SeaTac didn't as well given they are higher in elevation than me too.

Beginning to stick here about 1 mile west of SeaTac airport. They might report some accumulation by midnight.

I've got a couple properties in Packwood and am obviously watching the Goat Rocks fire closely. How much longer until the east winds subside in the area? Thanks in advance!

recs to remove a 1' tall ice berm from the city plow that is literally as thick as concrete? my blower will not even touch it. too solid to even shovel. I don't have a plow blade
Are you talking about ice build up on the blade itself? You could try taking a torch to the back of the blade and heating the steel.

Power is out in downtown Burien.

A sacrifice to the weather gods. Now who else should be banned to increase our chances for a blockbuster winter?

Power out in Burien with lots of transformer flashes on the horizon.

My brother who lives out by Palmer is reporting some pretty strong east winds. Here is a station in Selleck that showed a gust of 57MPH: https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KWARAVEN24
EDIT: It's absolutely dumping snow in Burien just west of SeaTac.

Oh boy, the 00Z is chilly in the long range.
Nice front at 240 hours like last run, but more importantly it's cold and great for mountain snow.
Ski resorts open by Halloween???

Power's out at my place in Burien. I think many other cities will be following suit.

I'm close to SeaTac and can report it is still DUMPING snow out. They'll be at 6" for the day in no time.
-
I measured 11" of snow on an untouched bench in Burien and it is still coming down in buckets. Amazing!
