  1. Matt Z seems to think it’s over https://twitter.com/zaffino/status/1628623453321412609?s=46&t=r5mXgduS2ktVBUbtfXhmGw
  2. Hope so. I’m at 500’ and barely have a dusting. Been in a sick snowhole all day.
  3. Why do you think that? This has the makings of an all-time snow hole for sw metro. I pray that I’m wrong. Though north Beaverton could end up doing better than west Tigard / Sherwood.
  4. Am I an idiot for not being super optimistic until NWS is on board? I can’t reconcile what models are showing w/ hesitance of pro mets to confirm this is happening. They’re capable of communicating nuance and saying “this is a hard forecast; some areas will do well while others will not.” But they haven’t even said that.
  5. Portland NWS still thinks nothing noteworthy is happening later tonight. Guess we’ll see.
  6. SW pdx metro getting nothing thus far. All too familiar; hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.
  7. The only thing standing between you and your dreams are your standards.
  8. Would love to know what discussions are going on at the Portland NWS office tonight. Maybe they’re out getting tanked.
  9. GRAF is far less favorable to SE Washington County than other models. Someone is gonna do well, at least.
  10. I think it’s more like 4” unless snow sticks earlier than expected. The closer to Newberg you are, and the higher your elevation, the better. That NW/SE line will be brutal for someone if it happens as modeled.
  11. I see those hills every day from my house. Gorgeous area. Looks like they’re in the bullseye for this.
  12. 2/3 of the precip falls by 9pm Tue, when it never gets below 37. At 1500’ that’s all snow.
  13. It’d be interesting to see how much of this precip falls while it’s in the mid-30s across the metro area.
  14. All the local mets have been consistent. Including the NWS. This doesn’t seem like much of an event for anyone who doesn’t live in the foothills. Will be nice to get a bit more snow in the air; let’s hope for a dusting!
