We’ll take anything we can get! -
Is the moisture over for PDX ?
-
Please no

Well, biting the bullet and heading to Home Depot to buy an 8000w generator. Too many old trees around, and this ice storm on Friday looks legitimately problematic.
-
I haven’t seen the maps, but I think you can safely cancel your Friday plans if they’re near PDX metro. It’s gonna be nasty.
-
That'd be nothing less than catastrophic given the east winds out of the gorge
-
Much easier but that didn’t sound as dramatic
-
Everyone here from PDX should go in on a timeshare in Buffalo.
-
Happy for my friends in the PS area, but d*mn is it frustrating to feel like Portland will never get a real snowstorm again.
-
Maybe they'll see harsher winters as a result. It's a complex system.
-
A half inch of ice two days before Christmas is brutal.
-
How often are below-freezing 2m temps this much lower than the 850s?
-
The moisture for us comes on Friday, when the 850s are too warm, which = ZR. The models have consistently shown PDX getting screwed, so nothing has changed in that regard. More low-level cold on Thu/Fri, I guess.
-
It’s currently 42F in Rufus, OR (just east of the Dalles). 20 miles to the east it’s 25F.
-
Really need that to keep trending south. Day 4 850s feel like the only trend worth watching on those 12z runs.
-
A 9 degree drop in 30 min...
-
What do the 850s look like in PDX on Thu/Fri?
-
15 degree difference in some places lol what's even the point
-
So what we’re rooting for is the upper levels to cool a bit, but that doesn’t seem real likely.
