But why does Balmaceda, Chile have a Cold-Summer Mediterranean Climate, even though their latitude just under 46° S, proximity to the Pacific Ocean, and altitude around 1,900 ft above sea level would put them on an oceanic or Warm-Summer Mediterranean climate?
