I missed it actually falling from the sky but I have a trace of sleet/snow they managed to coat pretty much everything. Dry now.

I'm really happy. The pattern was pretty messy, but we got some good wins. My personal favorite was the clear, cold, moonlit night with snow on the ground Thursday night. Can't beat that!
Was there!? It was cold Thursday night but sadly nothing to support it over here. I would hope the population centers, north (Bellingham), central (Seattle), and south (Portland and valley) can get something more.

A bit bummed out to see that we had basically .5” barely hanging on this morning (probably .6-7” total accumulation earlier). I needed another 50 feet of elevation.
I hope Portland can get some snow and I hope this isn’t it for the winter!

Going to bed, as I am getting up early for Netherlands v USA. I have about .4”. Snow accumulating fairly slowly. Soupy is a great way to describe the arterial roads, or any surface with drainage. If it keeps doing this through the AM, I’ll probably have 1.5-2” of slush.

Mixing with snow now near U-Village/Ravenna.
Was trying to transition an hour or two ago, but then went back to rain. Maybe this time's a charm.
Interesting fully snow for the past hour with accumulation now right around the west end of Ravenna park/Cowen park

Fully snow now in north Seattle and starting to accumulate!

Rain/snow mix here. Probably only 30/70 snow, precipitation is actually fairly moderate so hopefully it’ll transition to snow soon.

36/26 at SEA with light snow. That’s a great sign all around. Plenty of room to fall to freezing and light precip is falling as snow

Didn't Alaska have a bunch of issues over the summer too? Seems like they need to get their stuff together. Everyone acts like Alaska is so great, but they are incredibly expensive, and don't seem to be super reliable.
Alaska did fine over the summer, but the industry as a whole has really struggled. Kind of surprised they are preemptively cancelling flights en masse this evening for what will likely be light, largely non-accumulating snow. Maybe Snyder thinks otherwise!

Let's get out of this awful pattern and reset. No point in delaying the inevitable ARs, split flow and west coast ridging.
I mean this pattern is frustrating, but not exactly awful... You'd rather have torchy 55 degree downpours?

It would be a bummer to persistently be in this coolish pattern, with the goods close by, but not just quite here.

Fluffy light snow snow! Enough I must just have to get the ruler out!

37/29 (or 30- it got to 29 right before midnight) at SEA today. If clouds keeps clearing out should be able to beat that low later this eveing.

Oh god, not another week of model riding watching these small systems and inevitably getting 33 rain or missing out on precip all together

Nothing here but a light frost. Glad I stayed up to watch the Tuesday night slush, hope that’s not the only snow of the season.

Wind shifted to the S/SE at SEA, kind of interesting

Light chunky rain occasionally mixing with snow here. Looks like I'm just low enough and north of heavier precip to miss out on snow in the air. Waiting patiently.

Lots of frozen precip reports across Seattle right now.
Just plain drizzle here, despite my best effort to squint hard enough as to make it look like snow.

Absolutely nuking again. Heaviest snow I’ve seen today, yesterday? Lol

First sub-40 day at SEA, just barely at 39.

Still going strong here. Not much sticking on the roads but I don’t even care.
You’re only 70’ lower than me but that’s enough for completely white roads. I’ve gotten 1.25” compacted to 1” of slop. Plus .25”. Earlier in the day.

Patiently waiting to see if the north end of precip will make it to Seattle…
