Location: Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt. When: Saturday evening to Sunday morning. Remarks: An arctic front will bring snow and strong outflow winds to the region this weekend. For Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt, light snow will start on Saturday and intensify in the evening. Total snowfall amounts near 20 cm are expected before the heavy snow eases Sunday afternoon. Accompanying the arctic front, period of strong outflow winds will result in low visibilities Saturday night due to blowing snow. Avoid travel if possible. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
