Took about a hour sleep. It's a sleet and snow mix but check out the winds 🌨

Heavier echoes can reflect warming aloft too though, hence the dreaded sleet.
Areas that stay snow with it will get a good pounding in the next couple hours.
I totally understand that. I've been doing this for 20+ years. It all depends on how thick the cold air is what you will get. When the moisture got to me, it was snow, not sleet. Just saying.

It's snowing pretty good and I don't hear anything like sleet hitting the skylight. It's just snow.
Check out what's coming up to Salem. Another band of heavy precipitation. Not sure if it will stay together by the time it gets to Portland area. I'm going to take a nap. Didn't really sleep well last night. It happens a lot when these events come up...lol.

That's a sleet profile Ken.
I didn't say it was snow. I said precipitation.

This shows me as in the blue but we’ve switched to straight sleet for the last 20 minutes or so. Maybe we’ll transition back?
Not sure, probably yes when the low starts coming closer and goes south of Portland.

Looks like the end of the low pressure is coming on the shore, is that true or is there more behind that the radar isn't picking up?
No, it's hard to see the low clouds but the last couple of frames, you can see low clouds. Also, you can see some Enhancement in the clouds. That would be heavier precipitation.

Snow picking up in intensity here.
Didn't you have sleet earlier?

I think there maybe sleet or freezing rain at first in places but with heavier precipitation and stronger Gorge winds, I think the precipitation will turn to snow in places. At least that's my thinking

Rain coming down and 28 degrees, not freezing on concrete yet but certainly is on surfaces
You sure it's rain? Yesterday it was very lightly snowing and it looked a little like rain but it was snow. If you are where you are, temperatures look to be colder than 28 degrees.
