I was actually surprised when I saw over an inch in my gauge just under an hour ago. It's still raining, so that 11.31" is still rising.
-
Is that about average for you. YXX is at 7.5” and they average 10” in November. They should end up close to that.
I was looking for the stats from The Weather Network, but they removed that. They only show individual day stats now. I think average is in the 12-14" range for me though for November.

I thought you were at just 6 inches a couple days ago?
Just over 7 inches here for the month.
Around the 14th of November I was at 5.79 inches.

Just over 7 inches here for the month.
I've had more than 3 inches of rain in the last couple days.

I'm at 11.31 inches of rain this month so far.

The weeklies from yesteray has cold anomalies for the 5 day periods of the end of December. The beginning of December is cool on the west, then it kind of "warms up" until the middle of December, then goes back negative for the latter half of December into the new year. Most of eastern Canada is above normal, and much of central middle CONUS is warmer too for the 5 day period around Christmas.

I don't know how much rain I have had since 5PM yesterday, but my 24 hour period was just under 2" of rain.

Well a decent chunk of us here are in Oregon so...
I only care about my back yard obviously...
I got some PM a number years back telling me how annoying I was for only talking about my back yard weather. Now I do talk about that a lot, but I also think I have been quite good at posting general maps talking about the general area too. I also don't complain about the rain anymore like I used to.

He also lives in the wettest location in British Columbia. The Tim of Canada.
Who is the Tim of Colorado?

Not in Oregon!!
Pffft Oregon. No one here lives there!

So about that really dry November everyone is complaining about, the 18Z GFS says more than 6" of rain will fall before December... on top of the already ~6" of rain I have. November will be roughly average.

Please keep the garden talk out of this. I f***** hate gardens.
No garlic for you.

What we really need is a thread dedicated solely to Baffin Island/NAO talk. Maybe a whole forum.

Seems like that pattern has shown up a lot in the long range over the last several years. Getting it to verify/sustain itself is the hard part.
Maybe we just need to grow our own carrots, then we won't need carrots showing up in the long range!

Maybe 500ft snow levels on the 12Z GFS after next week.

The EPS weeklies 2m anom from Monday remains cold for the 5 day average of December 20-25, and it even looks like it gets colder into the new year!
-
Extrapolating past hour 384 on the 18Z GFS shows some great carrot potentials!

Ironically... Thanksgiving is the only holiday that I don't really care about the weather. I track it just out of habit like everything else. I want snow on Christmas and New Years of course... and don't want rain on any of the other holidays.
Even more ironic (considering that I don't really care) is that we have had quite a few dry and even sunny Thanksgivings in the last few years.
It doesn't matter too much if it rains on Easter for me, though that is a great time of the year to be starting to garden usually. I have a greenhouse to get started in January/February even though.

Looks like I may get away without having to cancel my Thanksgiving outdoor BBQ/pool party.
Can I come? I can bring Garlic!

Rain warning in effect. I'll possibly be up to 15" of rain before the end of this month.
